The brain, liver, pancreas, sexual organs, and eyes.

Can alcoholism lead to vitamin deficiencies?

Yes.  A common vitamin deficit which can result in severe neuropathies in alcoholics is Vitamin B1.

Is chemical dependency a liver disease which may trigger a neurological disease?

No.  It is a chronic neurological disease with a high risk of relapse which may trigger a number of secondary medical diseases, such as AIDS, Cirrohrosis, and heart disease.

Is it true that alcohol increases self-confidence because it increases brain activity?

No. Alcohol is a depressant.  It does modify brain activity as do all mood-altering substances.

Is it true that alcoholics with terminal liver failure are often denied a liver transplant?

Yes.  Continuous alcohol abuse can lead to liver transplant failure, therefore, active alcoholism is a contraindication to transplant.

Can drinking effect sleep patterns?

Yes.  Going to bed after 5 to 6 drinks often results in waking up 3 to 4 hours later and not being able to get back to sleep, or not being able to wake up in the morning.

Yes.  A 750ml bottle of wine equals about 8 glasses of wine; one glass is enough to be declared legally drunk.

No.  The intoxicated person just becomes more awake.
